The 10 Best Questions to Ask Your Interviewer

Categories: ArticleBy

Interviews are meant to be a two-way street and as a candidate, it’s important to go into an interview with your own set of questions for the interviewers. To really know if a job and company are going to be a good fit, it is important to review the company website, job description, and other material to help you come up with some questions. Below are a few example questions you should consider asking during your next interview:

  1. “What are the main challenges facing the company right now, and how do you see this role contributing to the solution?”
  2. “Can you tell me more about the team I would be working with and the company culture?”
  3. “How has this role evolved over time, and what opportunities are there for professional growth and development?”
  4. “Could you provide some examples of the types of projects I would be working on in this role?”
  5. “What are the expectations for this role in terms of results and deliverables? How are these measured?”
  6. “Could you describe the company’s approach to feedback and performance evaluations?”
  7. “Could you share some examples of the company’s successes and areas of growth?”
  8. “What do you see as the biggest opportunity for the company in the next few years, and how does this role fit into that vision?”
  9. “Why did you choose to work at this company and what is your favorite thing about it?”
  10. “Are there any hesitations about my fit for this position or are there any questions that I have not answered for you?”

While this list is not exhaustive, it is an excellent place to start when preparing for an interview. Remember to curate your questions to give you the most information you need in order to decide if this position and company are the right fit for you. Happy interviewing!
